Hardware on Your Favorite Movies or TV Shows

One of my favorite parts of my job is when I get to talk to set designers for TV shows and movies. Set designers know that details matter. They can trust that when we say we can get the hardware to them when they need it, we will deliver on that promise.

Some of the movies and TV shows we’ve worked on hardware-wise include: Money Monster, Ugly Betty, True Blood, Elementary, The Knick, The Good Wife, Sleepy Hollow, Ghostbusters, The Blacklist, Mr. Robot, The Girl on the Train, The Get Down, Falling Water, How to Get Away with Murder, The Exorcist, Mozart in the Jungle, Turn, The Sinner, and The Passage. We’ve also done a few things for Universal Parks Orlando and Disney World.

Our involvement with productions is something I’ve experienced firsthand. I was a big fan of the TV show Ugly Betty, and we got to supply all the cabinet hardware for Wilhelmina’s kitchen. I was tickled.

Additionally, I got to send a door lock to the show Elementary. In the episode, Watson was going to learn how to pick the lock—our lock. Sadly, that scene got cut, so I didn’t actually get to see it on screen.

One of my coworkers sent flush pulls for Bill’s remodeled house in True Blood. The list goes on and on.

The Hardware Hut provides many hardware needs for production companies. If you are a set designer for a movie, TV show, play, musical, or any sort of production, keep hardwarehut.com in mind. We’d be happy to help bring your vision to life.
