I’ve noticed several orders recently for Polished Aluminum Diamond Plate Switch Plate Covers from Muscle Car Accessories, and it got me to thinking about all of the items that we sell for garages and sheds. Diamond Plate Switchplate Covers
Diamond Plate is commonly used for traction and protection on ramps, stairs, and thresholds. It can be made from Steel, Stainless Steel, or Aluminum. You actually can often see the highly polished version on fire trucks! Muscle Car Accessories makes switchplates in Polished Aluminum in 14 different configurations. Imagine how nice these would look in your garage or shop.
Shelf Supports
Every garage or shed needs storage, and shelving is the easiest option. The fixed bracket I like the most is the Ultimate-L Shelf Bracket by Knape & Vogt. Installed in studs with 5/16″ x 3″ lag screws (not included), they will hold 1,200 pounds per pair! We have them in three powder-coat painted colors: Black, White, and Titanium. They come in four sizes: 12″ x 8″, 16″ x 10″, 20″ x 13″ and 22″ x 14″.
When searching for an adjustable bracket, I tend to lean on the Knape & Vogt Folding Bracket, in Zinc or White. Available in two sizes, 12″ x 8″ or 16″ x 10-1/2″, these brackets will hold up to 750 pounds when installed in studs with #10 x 2″ lag screws (not included). What is neat about these brackets is that, in addition to folding flat against the wall and raising 90 degrees, they also stop at 70 and 80 degrees. The additional stops are super nice for drawing and drafting table setups. Organizers
We also have an assortment of lawn tools in our garages and sheds, and most find their place leaned up against a wall. If you get them off the ground and up on the wall, you will have far more floor space. An easy way to do this is through our hardware. We have single clips from National Manufacturing or multi clips from Hafele. These can be also be used in your pantry for your brooms and mops.
Garage Access Doors
Lastly, I’d like to mention that we offer access doors for your garages. These come in either metal or plastic. The smaller doors are perfect for water shutoff valves, while the larger ones are great for crawl spaces or storage areas.
