Can this Schlage FE695 Keyless Touchscreen door lever and lock be used on an outdoor gate?
Schlage Touch™ FE695 Keyless Touchscreen Lockset - w/Century Trim and Latitude Lever
Hi, we want to have a solid locking door handle system for an outdoor gate, so it must handle rain and cannot rust. Will this item work? Also, as I see the photos, the lever would need to run the other direction so the entry side can mount on the left side of the gate door. Thank you.

Schlage's smart locks are designed to exceed in extreme weather conditions and in fact have been validated to function beyond industry certification requirements. However Schlage does not recommend their smart locks be used on outdoor gates or on doors in which the lock's interior housing is completely exposed to the elements.
