Most hollow core doors have what they call a "lock block", and that is an area built up in the area where a lock would be normally installed. The size and location of the lock block varies greatly both with the manufacturer and the style of door. For example a Jeld-Wenn moulded door is 16" long, but the width of the lock block varies by the width of the door.
In short, it should have a "lock block", but you need to do some research on the door or do the "tap test" to find out where your lock block starts and stops.
The installation instructions for that pocket door lock are on our website.
