This item through bolts. The bolt it separate. You'd drill a hole through your material, insert the bolt from the back, line up the knob, and screw it in.

is the screw separate from the knob, and the knob has a hole in it, or is the screw adhered to the knob with a bolt that gets screwed on on the other side?
