Yes, this Salem Low Profile Leverset is spring loaded. It is just like any other standard door knob or leverset that springs back into the original position.
This lever is not keyed, it is only offered in passage, privacy, or dummy functions. If you would like something keyed, we do offer a matching Salem Low Profile Deadbolt here, that can be used with this lever.
