Sorry no, the National Cabinet Lock C8043-C43A-26D is made for 1" max material thickness and the bolt travel is only 7/16"., they are mostly used on wood framed sliding glass doors. The Knape Vogt / Sterling Sliding Closet Door Keyed # PB1068-US3 may work for you but they are only offered in Dull Chrome and Brass,
They mount on the opposite side of the door that you would think and when actuated in lock position prevents the doors from sliding open.
You may be able to scuff the finish on the lock and paint the face the finish you desire.
