This catch is designed for a cabinet door. I feel that it would not be strong enough for an attic door that large.
Would this elbow joint have enough strength to hold up an attic door` Epco Heavy Duty Elbow Catch (Bright Nickel)
it's a door made from a 24x36" piece of drywall with 2" of trim on all sides, so maybe 15lbs?
