The stops made from solid brass and therefore will not corrode but it will patina overtime. When I talked to the vendor they were unsure about the material in which their screws are made of. So for safety's sake, we would suggest either replacing the screw provided with either a galvanized or stainless steel screws. Galvanized if going into treated lumber.
