Yes the Epco 592-ORB will keep a cabinet door closed in most cases it has a pull force of 13lbs.

I have a bookcase that has doors that are slightly smaller than the cabinet facing. The old catches are mounted behind the door and level with the top of the door. These were also used at the bottom of the drawer. Is this the best product to use? Are there mounting instructions included?
