Yes, you can remove the face plate with a flat head screwdriver and attach the collar for the drive-in latch.
regarding sch-16-210-613 can you remove the endplate and just use the round tubular sleeve? Schlage F-Series Spring Latch, Adjustable Backset Triple-Option Mortise and Drive-In - EACH (Oil Rubbed Bronze)
my doors don't have the metal endplate just a round piece around the latch
