I know there is a longer unit than BSS-150. My application is a wooden storm door. Would the longer size be better?

We looked at the specs for the BSS-150 and the BSS-240 and they both have a throw of 32mm (roughly 1-1/4"). So, they will extend until the jamb the same amount, but the BSS-240 being about 8" on the door does add slightly more rigidity to the door and that might add to the security of the door.
