Are the 3029/6" springs the same as those for the 3023/ 6"? I am looking for 3023 springs and instructions to swap? CLOSEOUT SPECIAL! - Bommer Replacement Spring for 3029-7 Double Acting Spring Hinges - EACH

I have an old set 3023 hinges on a swing door. They are likely 90 years old so not surprising that the springs have gone... however I have replaced the springs once before many years ago. Can't remember how though! I'm in the UK and can't get them here.

Yes, the springs are the same, but we do not have any instructions on how to change them because the assembly process has been changed many times over the years. It depends on how the endcaps are mounted on how they are removed.
