This is the response I received from Smedbo:
The front to back measurement is 3”.
But please explain to your client that if she’s using this spare glass for a none Smedbo product, it will not work.
Our soap dishes are meant to only work for the exact Smedbo product it’s meant to be used for.
This product is a replacement dish for SME-OK342P.
