The difference between a passage set and a dummy set: a passage set will include the latch bolt and strike plates for a functioning hall, closet or bedroom door. A Dummy set is just the handle and rosette plate, designed to be attached to the surface of doors. Typically used on closet or pantry doors where a roller catch at the top of the door holds the door closed. Dummy sets have handles that do not rotate.
An Emtek Dummy set includes both a right and left handle. A set can cover the functioning (outside) side of a closet with 2 doors.
