How can a legal drawer be changed to a letter drawer using the Keller 48" Cross File Bar? Keller 48" (1219mm) Cross File Bar for Keller Snap-On File Hanging System - EACH (Aluminum)

My drawer is about 15 1/4 and 26 and 3/4 inches. IT is outfitted with plastic runninging along the tops of the drawers. IT came with a few metal rails and clips that look like yours. But the rails are closer to a foot in length than 48inches. Could you cut the rails? Would there be room to convert this drawer to two side by side sets of letter files? I can send a picture if you have a place to upload.
