Hinge height, and depth
Knape and Vogt 18" (457mm) Pivot Pocket Door Slides - PAIR
I have 4 upper cabinets in my kitchen with countertop and lower cabinets. On the end of the four cabinets on each side is a Floor to ceiling cabinet the depth of the base cabinet. the open area underneath the four cabinets I want to add four doors two and two hinge togethe in the middle and they fold back on themselves and I want them to slide back underneath the cabinets. The height of the cabinet Doors will be about 22 to 23 inches. Each door is about 18 inches wide and the slide back area is just 12 inches maybe 11 1/2. The door will not recess completely under the top cabinet. It won’t be sticking out because of the full length cabinet on the ends. I hope this makes sense. Use the 12 inch hinge? What is the actual length of the metal piece that the cabinet will slide back on? Is it less than actually 12 inches?

With the Knape and Vogt Pivot Pocket Door Slides, you will lose four inches of door depth. Consequently, your doors will only recess eight inches, leaving ten inches exposed with these twelve inch slides.
