1- is 1-3/4" thickness ok? 2- is the middle hinge centered, or closer to the top like Soss hinges? Sugatsune 3-Way Adjustable Concealed Hinge for 1-1/2" (38mm) Min. Thick Doors - EACH (Matte Black)

I see the 1-1/2" min. I assume 1-3/4" is ok, assuming the weight etc. is within limits. And the reveal of the face remains 4m or whatever.
Soss hinges have a layout showing the middle hinge is closer to the top of the door, rather than centered. Is that the case with these?

Yes, you can use this on thicker doors, the 1-1/2" is just the minimum. For the third hinge, you will mount it halfway between the centerline of your door and the top hinge.
