How to adjust the size of Deltana Cabinet Pull up to 6"?

Technically, one of the posts on the Deltana Adjustable up to 6" (152mm) Center-to-Center Solid Brass Cabinet Pull could be removed to create a single hole, if that's what you want. If you were to push the two posts together as close as you can get them while still being able to mount the pull, you would be looking at about 1/4 inch center to center.
