More brackets would make more capacity, but always more issue of proper install & depth of shelf. The brackets are much stronger than the listed capacity.

We will have a glass shelf that is 59 inches long and 10 inches deep. We are planning to use 4 brackets. 2 of the 4 brackets would be in studs.
