Yes, this can be used as a hook. Please see the installation instructions below.
If drilling into studs:
1) insert wood screw into mounting post.
2) tighten screw into wall/stud, until mounting post is stable
and screw fits cleanly inside mounting post.
3) slide contact point of Sóko product over mounting post.
4) tighten set screw on Sóko product with enclosed allen wrench.
If drilling into drywall:
1) drill hole deep enough into wall to accept anchor.
2) remove screw from anchor, and hammer anchor completely into hole.
3) place screw back in anchor and tighten until the wall anchor expands.
remove screw.
4) place mounting post over anchor, and insert screw in mounting post.
5) tighten screw until mounting post is stable and screw fits cleanly
inside mounting post.
6) slide contact point of Sóko product over mounting post.
7) tighten set screw on Sóko product with enclosed allen wrench
