These vents are specifically designed as soffit (birdblock) (intake) vents. The airflow is more than adequate, and the slats/louvered fins are designed to protect against pests and weather-related issues.

Hi there, I'm looking for about 140 of these to drill 3" holes into the birdblock on my old house to create soffit vents into my attic. I like that they're aluminum. My question is how is the airflow? The vents/slats look sort of tight and I'm wondering how well air flows through these as an intake, or if this is meant as an exhaust vent instead.
