A spring latch is for passage and privacy, it won't work for keyed locks. For a keyed lock you'll want an option that says Deadlocking. You can find those HERE.

I'm replacing a keyed latch that looks like DEX-16-254-63, but in the Q&A from prior questions, it suggests that this latch is NOT for keyed entry doorknobs.
