The body was just measured at 31/32", or 0.96875.
what is the diameter of the assembly? Schlage B600-Series Deadbolt Latch, 2-3/8" Backset - Mortise - EACH (Dull Chrome)
I have a door which cannot accomodate 1" edge bore, but can go a little over .80". I tried to install a "B60N CSG 626", but the edge bore hole needs to be 1 inch - I assume to make the "variable length" mechanism to work. I need a backset of 2-3/8, so this "extra feature" is not necessary. I am replacing a Kwikset - whose unit is about .82 inches in diameter. I cannot make the hole larger. Would this deadbolt latch fit this size hole, AND will it work with that Schlage deadbolt lock I already have?
