how do I replace the driver bar? The standard one is too short for my door. I purchased a longer one.

The drive bar pulls straight out and the replacement pushes right back in the same place. According to our locksmith it is a bit of a struggle to pull it and and push the new one in, but that is all that is needed to replace it.
