I've not heard of any door alignment issues when moving to the soft close version by the same brand. You can find the 1/2" version HERE.
is there a soft close hinge to replace this and not affect the door alignment? Salice 106° Excenthree Face-Frame Hinge (1/2" Overlay, Self-Close, Screw-On)
