No, The Extend-A-Hand 12" (305mm) Folding Grab Bar (Stainless Steel) does not lock in the down position. Not being locked, makes it unsafe to use. The grab bar can only be used in the horizontal locked position.
Can this bar be safely used in the down position? Extend-A-Hand 12" (305mm) Folding Grab Bar (Stainless Steel)
I need to anchor the bar higher than where it will be used.
