As I am sure most of you are aware there has been an increase in uncertainty caused recently in the economy due to both proposed, delayed, and implemented tariffs across a wide range of products and countries. In the building material industry, we are working hard to identify the final impact, as a specialty distributor we have been in constant communication with our industry-leading manufacturers and feel that the average for hardware will be between 3-8% with some nominal outliers. If you have questions regarding specific manufacturers or items, please contact our customer service team to understand how these changes might affect your finished product pricing. While other factors in the supply chain could also influence your final costs, we currently do not recommend significantly increasing inventory levels. Supply availability is stable, and we foresee no issues comparable to those experienced during the peak of COVID.
Additionally, we have some domestically built brands that we are leaning into and expanding our offering to help offset the impact on imported products, contact our sales team to learn more about our USA-based manufacturers and see if they are a fit for your next project.
