Turnstyle Designs, creators of luxury hardware, was founded in the heart of North Devon, England by Steve Roberts in 1992. The company is now one of the regions largest employers and operates out its purpose-built factory in Barnstaple, employing a wealth of talent from craftsmen such as leather workers, metal finishers, engineers and assemblers to ensure the highest quality at each stage of production. All of their team takes great pride in producing and delivering some of the worlds finest door and cabinet hardware, evident in the quality and design.

Attention to Detail

A handle is like a button on a coat, it can make or break a great room or piece of furniture and it has to function as well as it looks. Turnstyle pays attention to every little thing it does, they make detail and so believe that every part of thier business has to follow this ethos, from the free fruit for staff to the protective cotton sleeve they send every door lever out with.

Their beautiful, bespoke cabinet and door handles are all custom made for our clients to offer a unique finish. Every handle passes through at least eight pair of hands before its final quality inspection!

Fearless Design

Turnstyles design principal is to always try something new. Their first slogan was “Bored of Brass”, they have worked with every practical material you can imagine, from Perspex to Concrete, and will continue to push the boundaries of design. From intricate, hand-stitched leather to hand-hammered brass and Amalfine™ used to create their luxurious cabinet hardware, they continue to introduce new materials and processes that are beautiful, fully functional and durable.
